Item Description:
Here is a beautiful Two-Pedestal Drop-Leaf Extension Table by Heywood Wakefield in wheat, Circa 1958. More commonly known as the "Wishbone" table and the harder to find model number M 1556 G manufactured between 1956-61. This table can be configured in many different ways and the tabletop length ranges from 24" wide at its smallest configuration to 79" at its longest. Perfect for a smaller dining area and with the ability to extend to a much longer length makes it great when entertaining. This table is in good original condition, the tabletop does have some small nicks, the bottom of the table legs do show some signs of use and the leaf inserts are a little lighter than the table top, and they have some minor wear to the other edges, all of which can be seen in our last few photos. Overall this table sits sturdily, it's wishbone legs design provides a very nice mid-century look, and is made from solid wood which allows for many more years of use.
