Description:
Here is a stunning piece of mid-century modern design, a cocktail bar by Arthur Umanoff for Shaver Howard's Grenada line, circa 1950s. The bar front shows the Grenada line's shapes in cast iron which is welding directly into the solid cast iron frame and then the sides are covered in long strips of solid wood. If you are in the market for a mid-century bar, then this is for you. It is 59.5” long which would fit in most homes and has two long shelves in the back for storage. The white laminate top is in good condition for its age. There is a small gap where the edging joins and this seems to be a common factor in Umanoff bars. The back end of the top edging does have some minor signs of use and the two shelves on the inside do have some signs of wear. We did give this bar a good cleaning and polishing to bring back its original shine and overall this piece is in good original condition.
