Description:
This mid-century modern mantle clock with a bull and matador theme is in good partially restored condition. The original electric clock portion had the United label on the face, however, it was not working. So, we stripped out the old clock portion and installed a NEW clock face of the same size that is operated by one AAA battery. The advantage to this is now you would not see any wires coming out of the back of it if you wanted to put it somewhere that a plug could not be reached. The new clock portion CAN be easily removed if you ever wanted to change it or make it be an electric plug-in style again. Since the rim of the clock face was gold and the rest was silver but the base was kinda scuffed up, we covered the base portion with some Gold metallic paint to give it some contrast. So, what you see is a balance of silver and gold which would display beautifully on a mantle or any tabletop/shelf that you prefer.
