Description:
This listing is for an orange and green drip glaze vase by Lou Hoenig of California. The base is not stamped Lou Hoenig, but we know for sure this is Lou Hoenig pottery as we purchased it along with 2 ashtrays and a lighter that WAS stamped and they had the exact same glaze pattern/design. Those items are/were being sold separately. Dimensions are 5.5" diameter and 7" tall. This vase is in good condition with no cracks, but there is one small nick out of the BASE of the piece smaller than a dime and is NOT visible when sitting upright normally. We have highlighted this in the last 2 pictures. You can see where the dime is in the last picture that the small nick is not visible when in upright position. This could have been a production flaw where too much glaze built up under the base when it was drip drying and could have simply been trimmed off by an employee. One of the 3 contact points where it would have sat on a rack to dry are exactly where the nick is which further supports the theory of a possible production flaw that was trimmed/chipped off intentionally.
