Seven Drawer Dresser by John Von Koert for Drexel's Profile Line, Circa 1955 - *Please ask for a shipping quote before you buy.

Designed by John Van Koert for Drexel’s iconic Profile collection, introduced in 1955, this distinctive dresser is a wonderful example of mid-century modern design and craftsmanship.

The dresser offers four large, deep drawers, two are divided in the middle for ample storage, with the center top drawer being less deep and two smaller top drawers that include a jewelry try in each one.

An interesting detail about John Van Koert is that before becoming a furniture designer, he worked as a jewelry designer and industrial artist. As a tribute to his background, most of his pieces in the Profile collection were designed with a small jewelry tray hidden inside—a unique and charming signature feature of the line.

This piece recently spent time in our workshop, where it was fully restored to bring back its original finish as best as possible. It is now ready for its next chapter and many more years of use.
