This beautiful antique mahogany spinet desk was manufactured by the Colonial Manufacturing Company circa 1900. It features two side drawers and a long center drawer beneath the desktop that blends seamlessly into the desk's frame.

The top opens to reveal a charming writing compartment with two pigeonholes for letters, a small center drawer, and an inkwell complete with its original ink holder. The center writing surface pulls out from 9.5 inches deep to 18 inches deep, providing ample workspace while allowing the desk to be neatly closed when not in use.

The writing surface stands 30 inches high, while the overall height of the desk is 33 inches. The flip-top lid is supported by two delicate hinges that are slightly loose but function properly when operated with care. When closed, the top creates a smooth surface, allowing the piece to be used as a table.

The back of the desk is fully finished, making it suitable for placement in the center of a room as well as against a wall. The clearance from the floor to the underside of the desk is 25 inches, providing comfortable legroom when seated.

This desk is sturdy, functional, and retains its original character. We have thoroughly cleaned and polished the piece to highlight its beautiful mahogany finish and original features. As expected for a piece of this age, the desktop shows signs of wear consistent with age and use.
