This Tiffany-style stained glass lamps was handcrafted by John F. M. Wolfe of York, Pennsylvania, a self-taught artisan who, now in his 100th year, has personally confirmed the authenticity of this pieces. This lamp was meticulously created by hand in his small workshop located behind his residence.

Mr. Wolfe began producing stained glass lighting in the early 1970s and spent decades supplying custom pieces to local businesses.

His craftsmanship was recognized in a feature published in the York Sunday News on October 4, 1981, which highlighted his exceptional skill in bending glass—an ability possessed by only a select few artisans in the region at the time.

Renowned for his remarkable attention to detail, Mr. Wolfe carefully documented his work in a personal scrapbook. He believes that one of the two lamps currently available was created for the Jim and Nena's restaurant chain.

We are grateful to Mr. Wolfe's daughter for sharing this valuable history and extend our best wishes to him.

This lamp is in exceptional condition for its age, and it is signed by the artist. There are no chips or cracks in any of the glass pieces, and all the lead is intact. We did wire this lamp to a 12" long chain swag kit, and it comes with its original ceiling mounts, so it can be hung as a swag or fixed to a ceiling by a professional if desired. We did clean this piece well, and it looks great. Please reach out if you have any questions, and if you would like a shipping quote, you can send us your zip code. Thanks for your interest.
