Here is a beautiful hall cabinet or mini credenza in excellent original condition by Jack Cartwright for Founders, circa 1960s. This piece has a very nice color lith top which resembles a finely polished slate, the casing is a dark, rich, oiled walnut, and this piece would be perfect for a smaller dining room or hallway, as intended. The inside has 2 compartments with 1 height-adjustable shelf inside each side. The bi-folding doors were a popular feature in Cartwright's design when working with Founders. This particular piece was part of the Founder "Patterns 7" line. The woodgrain, design, and function of this piece are truly exceptional on this piece.

This piece has been carefully sanded and restored with an oil finish to highlight the natural beauty of the wood and present the piece in a manner consistent with its original appearance.
The original base was unfortunately too deteriorated to restore, so it has been replaced with finely crafted metal legs that provide both stability and a subtle lift while maintaining a complementary aesthetic.

The interior shelving was also replaced with new ebonized wood shelves, as the originals were no longer present. These shelves were designed to suit the piece while preserving its overall character.
The top surface does show some signs of wear consistent with age and use, which contribute to the authentic vintage character of the piece. Please refer to our photos for a detailed view of the condition, and feel free to reach out anytime with any questions.
Thank you for your interest in this piece.
