Now available: a pair of upholstered high-back armchairs, model 2051-C, designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, circa 1960s. These striking chairs embody mid-century modern design, with sculptural walnut bases that highlight Pearsall’s signature organic lines and craftsmanship.
The chairs are upholstered in a rich burgundy velvet that remains in very good vintage condition, free from tears or stains. Each chair is missing two buttons on the lower backrest—noticeable only upon close inspection—but this does not detract from their overall presentation.
The walnut bases have been carefully disassembled, cleaned, reglued, and sanded, then refinished with a new protective coating. The chairs are structurally sound, and the refreshed finish beautifully accentuates the walnut grain from every angle.
While we have previously offered the side-chair version of this design, this is the first time we have had the pleasure of presenting the armchair model in our showroom. Dimensions are listed below, and we’re happy to answer any questions. Thank you for your interest.
