This Thonet coffee table or bench features walnut bentwood legs, a signature design element of Thonet pieces produced at their York, Pennsylvania, factory. The piece is clearly marked underneath with the Thonet name and dated 1972.
The tabletop is constructed of solid wood with a faux wood veneer, making it a practical choice for homes with pets or children. The surface shows light wear consistent with age and use, along with a few small dots along the side/edge of the tabletop where tacks were once used to secure foam and fabric at some point in its history.
This versatile piece could function beautifully as a coffee table or entryway/mudroom bench and offers both style and durability.
