Shipping:
*Because the cost varies with an item's weight, size, and destination, we can't provide a firm and fixed price quote for shipping in the shipping estimate calculator in this listing. Please provide us with your zip code and we will find a competitive shipping quote for your area. If you are happy with our estimate just let us know and we will add this cost to the listing for online checkout. Our shipping estimate will be for a door-to-door blanket wrap shipping service. Delivery times vary depending on how fast we can find a shipper and how well-traveled certain areas are. We do not recommend Freight service for transporting larger pieces but these are options for smaller pieces of furniture.

Item Description:
Here is a very nicely restored Harlequin chest of drawers by Merton L. Gershun for American of Martinsville, circa the early 1960s.
"Truly, HARLEQUIN is a work of furniture artistry in 3-Dimension. The Sculptured look is captured in the concave doors, gracefully sloped and fitted with convex diamonds of solid polished walnut. A striking effect is achieved in the play of light across the soft finish of the woods." - The Baltimore Sun, April 1961.

This piece is a true piece of art, and it was taken apart and fully restored to bring back its original finish as best as possible. Everything works well, and the piece sits sturdily. Some small things to note: the bottom drawer rubs lightly on the right top side when pushed in, and both bottom drawers sit a small fraction further on the right side than the left. This is a tiny note but one we wanted to mention in advance. Please have a look at our images and recah out if you have any further questions.
