Item Description:
A beautifully restored Brasilia Gentelmans Chest/Armoire in walnut is now available by Broyhill Premier, circa 1960s. This piece is one of our all-time favorites and would make a great addition to any home. This piece offers lots of room for storage and oozes mid-century modern from every angle.

This piece required a full restoration, we took the piece apart, stripped the finish, sanded out about 90% of the imperfections in the wood, and finished this piece with an American walnut stain followed by layers of pre-cat lacquer to match its original finish as closely as possible. We used an American walnut toner to blend the finish, this tonner added a reddish tint to the walnut finish which is why we have priced this piece a little lower than normal. We were able to save the original back of the piece which retains its original factory stamp and the original Brasilia cloth label inside the top drawer in the bottom section.

We do our best to bring these pieces back to life and we get asked "What are the defects?". So we have listed every little minor detail below for you if want more pictures or information please feel free to reach out anytime.

This piece has a small nick on the top right corner of the piece that can be seen in our images. It has a small dot/round indent on the very top middle front that can be seen in our images. All drawers work as they should. The doors open and close as they should. The piece sits sturdily. The piece is stamped by the maker. The finish does show a more redder tone than the original finish but it still looks good. Some parts of the back edges on the left side were filled in and toned to match the rest of the piece during the restoration and these are not very noticeable so you will not see them in our images. The interior of the piece is original with some heavy-duty cleaning it came out very well. The piece does not have any smoke odors, it was in a garage for many years but after our restoration, it does not have any bad odors. The front left door arch was repaired and has a slightly darker tone than the other 3 arches. The brass pulls were cleaned lightly and have their original finish with some patina from age/use as to be expected. As we mentioned above please reach out if you have any questions and thanks for reading this description.
