Item Description:
Here is a lovingly restored credenza by Drexel for their profile line, circa 1957. The profile line was one of the best sellers for Drexel in the late 1950s, and the piece features two small compartments on each side with a half-depth shelf inside, two medium-sized drawers between each compartment, and an extra long deep drawer at the bottom. The top drawer has four divided removable sections for organizing your silverware. This piece is made from white ash, and the color is a mix of mahogany and light walnut. We took this piece apart and fully restored it, removing the original stain that was in rough shape, sanding it down, and adding a light walnut stain to bring the piece back as close to the original finish as possible. The drawer pulls are original and do show some slight wear to the original gold finish. There was one palm-sized mark on the original finish, which caused a darker spot on the top left side that blends with the rest of the piece now, but in a certain light, it can still be seen. Otherwise, this piece turned out very nice, and our photos do not do it justice. Please reach out if you have any questions, and thanks for looking!
