Shipping:
*Because the cost varies with an item's weight, size, and destination, we can't provide a firm and fixed price quote for shipping in the shipping estimate calculator in this listing. Please provide us with your zip code and we will find a competitive shipping quote for your area. If you are happy with our estimate just let us know and we will add this cost to the listing for online checkout. Our shipping estimate will be for a door-to-door blanket wrap shipping service. Delivery times vary depending on how fast we can find a shipper and how well-traveled certain areas are. We do not recommend Freight service for transporting larger pieces but these are options for smaller pieces of furniture.
Item Description:
Here is a stunning piece of mid-century modern design, a large rectangular extending dining table in Walnut. Designed by Florence Knoll and first appeared in the Knoll catalog in 1957 as #303 extension table. This table retains its original Knoll Associates INC. which dates this particular table to the 1960s. The large leaf adds 28" to the table when inserted, making it 84" in length. The table is constructed from high-quality walnut wood and is in good condition for its age. The table is sturdy and we were able to save the table's original finish which shows very few signs of wear. There is a mark or line in one of the legs where a chair had rubbed when pushed in and in the interest of keeping this piece as original as possible, we left that in the piece. This can be seen in our last image. When the table is opened there is an area inside the tabletop to store the leaf securely. Overall this is a beautiful and well-preserved piece of mid-century history and ready for its next home.
Please reach out if you have any further questions and thanks for looking!
