Item Description:
Here is a very nicely preserved oiled walnut breakfront china hutch and curved walnut base by Young MFG. Co., circa 1960s. This piece is in good condition for its age, we did give the piece a thorough cleaning and oiling to bring out its original clean modern look. The curved base sets this piece apart from other designs from the mid-century era and the size of this piece allows for lots of display space as well as hidden storage below. Each shelf has a plate rail along with a light on each level. The top of the base is in very good condition if it were to be used separately from the top. This piece sits sturdily and is in good overall condition. The very bottom of the base does have some signs of wear from age and these are pointed out in our images. The large breakfront doors on the top piece open and close easily, they do have a very slight dip in the center but nothing to be concerned about. The base has some minor surface scratches and a few pinky size dents on the drawer pulls but they are not very noticeable. This piece is signed on the back by the maker.
