Item Description:
Here is a very nicely preserved antique Hoosier Cabinet, circa 1920s. "Hoosier Saves Time" - it's not often we come across these anymore and this piece we completed a few projects on this to ensure it is sturdy and will function for everyday use. Aside from giving this piece a thorough cleaning both inside and out we added extra support to the sides and replaced part of the backing with vintage thrift white poster board that can be seen on the bottom half of the top and the back of the base. The enamel countertop is in very good condition for its age and when extended it comes out to 21.5" for more counter space. The interior portion on the top retains its flour storage mechanism, a spice wheel, and a towel bar. The tambour doors operate well for their age and all doors/drawers open and close as they should. The bottom drawer is a metal line drawer and does have a vintage replacement drawer pull. This was a basement find and does come with a slight musty smell inside the drawers but over time in the right environment, this should go away. Overall we kept the piece with its original paint and design which can be seen in our images attached. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have and thanks for looking!
