Item Description:
Here is a nicely preserved 3-piece sectional sofa with an off-white textured vinyl fabric from the late 1950s. This sofa showcases some of our favorite design features from the mid-century modern era. The low backrest, clean streamlined lines, and dark peg legs allow this piece to become a work of art and a functional piece of furniture. This piece was constructed from solid wood and sits both comfortably and sturdily. Overall this sofa is in good used condition with some minor signs of wear, as this piece was in a basement for most of its life it does have a slight musty odor which is why we highly recommend this piece as an excellent candidate for reupholstery. If there ever was a piece worth investing in reupholstering to your specific style for your long-term home this is the piece to have and to cherish for a lifetime. In its current state, it could be used for many years, there are some small signs of wear on one edge that can not be seen when the sectional is together, a small dark spot on the back of the left section, and a 3" tear on the underside of the middle cushion. We removed the dustcloth underneath to clean the interior, sanitized the piece throughout, aired it out for several months, and replaced the new dustcloth underneath each section.
