Item Description:
Here is a fully restored drop leaf extension dining table by Milo Baughman for Drexel, Circa 1950s. This extension drop leaf dining table was restored to match its original look and feel. In the restoration process, we removed any scratches or blemishes on both the table and the 2 leaf inserts. There is one very small bit of wear on one side of the table that can be seen in our last image but overall this piece turned out very nice. This piece was designed by Milo Baughman for Drexel's "New Today's Living" line in the 1950s. Crafted from elm wood and showcasing a very clean simple design, exceptional bookmatched woodgrain, and superior quality throughout the piece. This table would be perfect for a smaller dining room or apartment as it can be configured in many different ways allowing it to be fully extended to 80" in length when entertaining. The leg tips are solid brass which adds a hint of elegance to the design and the leg tips cleaned up very well. The table top does sit sturdily, the center and drop leaves do close easily and the table retains its original factory latch underneath along with the Drexel markings. Each leaf adds 12" to the overall width/length of the table and this table comes with 2 restored leaves.
