Description:
Here is a beautiful solid wood carving depicting 12 faces with varied emotions and each face is stacked on top of the next one. This piece is one solid carving and the base is part of the wood carving. Each face tells a different story and this piece was so unusual we had to acquire it. We don't know who the artist was but the attention to detail is exceptional. This came from a local mid-century home and does show some age to the piece. In doing research we found some similar carvings from Japan but we could not firmly place this carving's origin. Overall this is a very well-crafted piece and would make a great addition to any collector's home. Please reach out if you have any questions and thanks for looking.
