Description:
Here is a nicely restored Danish teak credenza designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for Søborg Møbelfabrik, circa 1950s. This piece features an exceptional design and showcases some of the finest craftsmanship from Denmark during the mid-century era. Constructed from solid teak wood, this credenza showcases dovetailed joints on the outside of the piece and the interior. The large compartment on the left side is hidden behind a long single tambour door and houses one long height adjustable teak shelf. The right side has 4 drawers, 3 shallow drawers, and 1 deep drawer at the bottom. This piece is stamped by the manufacturer on the back. We did restore the top and sides to bring back the pieces' natural look and removed any nicks and minor scratches. The entire piece was cleaned and the base was reassembled to sit firmly.

Overall this piece cleaned up very well and here are some of the minor items to note. There is a small nick (about 1/8 of an inch) on the top tambour door handle. The 3rd drawer pull in the center was reglued by the original owner at some stage in its lifetime. The front left side of the leg base has a very small nick next to the leg that can be seen in our last photo, this does not affect the stability of the piece. We do not have a key for the lock. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, thank you!
