Description:
Here is a nicely restored Extension Dining Table by Heywood in Wheat, circa 1941. This table was constructed from solid birch wood and manufactured by Heywood Wakefield for only 3 years between 1941 and 1944. The table legs are an elongated flat tapered design that pushes up into the table frame and are secured with one screw in each leg. This table is numbered with Heywood Wakefield's original mark underneath. During the restoration process, we took this table apart, thoroughly cleaned the entire piece, stripped it of its original worn finish, and replaced the finish with a durable Heywood Wakefield Wheat stain. This table does NOT come with any leaves and we did add 3 latches on the underside to close the table securely. There is a small gap on either side of the center opening from the apron and age which can be seen in our last photo. This table showcases a very nice timeless American modern design and would look great in any smaller dining room or apartment. Thanks for looking and reach out if you have any questions!
