Description:
Here are 4 very nicely restored armchairs by Kai Kristiansen, circa 1957. These stunning and hard-to-find chairs were crafted from afromosia teak wood and showcase a similar backrest to the more common "PIGE" chair designed by Kristiansen a year earlier. These "DEBUT" chairs were reupholstered at some stage during their life and the fabric is in good condition without any rips or tears but the seat fabric is a little puffy around the edges but as it was in good condition we decided to level it up to the new owner to decide if they would like to have the reupholstered. One chair has a matching piping between the backrest and arms, the 3 other chairs have a piece of lace-type banding at the seam. Each chair frame was sanded down and restored to bring out their original look. All chairs sit sturdily and are ready for their next adventure.
