Description:
Here is a very nice arched king-size sculpted teak bedframe by Jespersen of Denmark, circa 1960s. This bedframe accommodates a king-size mattress, we would recommend a low-profile mattress to allow the frame to be seen from every angle. The headboard is all original and in excellent condition while the side rails and footboard were sanded down to remove any scratches and then oiled to bring out the wood grain. This bedframe sits sturdily and would look great in any home. There is one 4" scratch on the interior bottom rail of the headboard that will not be seen when a mattress is in place but we did include a photo of this scratch. Both the headboard and frame retain the maker's mark along with a Danish Control mark. The wood slats and center support were replaced and each wooden slat comes with a pre-drilled hole if you decide to screw them in place. Overall this is a very nice piece and ready for a new home.
