Item Description:
Here is a beautifully restored Danish teak desk by Peter Løvig Nielsen, circa 1960s. Løvig designed pieces were made from the finest woods available in the mid-century era, this particular desk showcases a stunning teak woodgrain throughout the piece, the tabletop in particular has a rich teak wood look along with a sliding feature that hides a compartment on each side underneath the desktop. A part of one wooden bracket underneath the desk which allows the desktop to slide was broken in half on one side but this doesn't affect the top from sliding smoothly with ease. We stripped and sanded this piece down to its bare wood to remove about 95% of the imperfections and gave the entire piece an oil-rubbed finish to bring out the wood grain. One of the chrome braces on the side of the drawers was replaced in the restoration process. The drawers all glide with ease and overall this piece is in good restored condition. This desk is marked "Made in Denmark".
