*Because the cost varies greatly with the weight, size, and destination of an item, we can't provide a firm and fixed price quote for shipping in the shipping estimate calculator in this listing. Please provide us with your zip code and we will find a competitive shipping quote for your area. If you are happy with our estimate just let us know and we will add this cost to the listing for online checkout. Our shipping estimate will be for a door-to-door blanket wrap shipping service or white glove shipping services if requested. Delivery times vary depending on how fast we can find a shipper and how well-traveled certain areas are. We do not recommend a Freight service for transporting larger pieces but these are options for smaller pieces of furniture.
We can facilitate in-person purchase or pick-up during normal business hours, just let us know in advance so we can place the item on hold until you arrive (If you are purchasing a piece at Refindings and paying at Refindings we do not mind holding the piece for you as long as you can confirm a date that you will be coming to purchase/pick up the item. If you wish to purchase an item online first and pickup in person at a later date just let us know and we can remove the shipping costs in advance of your purchase.
Here is a very nice salmon-colored fiberglass shell chair by Herman Miller, circa 1959-60. This chair is in exceptional condition for its age with very minimal signs of wear or fading to the fiberglass. There are some slight signs of patina on the aluminum legs. The shock mounts are in great condition on this chair and it sits sturdily. Our photos do not do this piece justice as the salmon color is very vibrant with prominent fibers showing throughout the shell. We did give this piece a good cleaning and polishing to bring back its true original look and overall this piece is in great condition.
This piece is marked with the Herman Miller Silver Medal (1956-1964) and the Herman Miller "M stamp" which was placed only on fiberglass chairs from 1958-1959. However, the patent label is dated 1960-1962 so the chair was most likely manufactured in 1959 and labeled with the patent label in early 1960.
High – 31.5”
Wide – 25”
Depth – 22”
Seat Height - 17"
