We do not recommend Freight service for transporting larger pieces but these are options for smaller pieces of furniture.
Here is a beautifully preserved solid Northern Ashwood full-size headboard in a "Cafe Walnut" stain by Heywood Wakefield for their Danish Modern line, circa 1961. This headboard is in very good original condition showing minimal signs of wear from use.
From the original Danish Modern Brochure:
The name “Heywood-Wakefield” has been synonymous with fine quality and expert workmanship since 1826. No name in the furniture industry is better known or more trusted among millions of homemakers. There is an extra measure of confidence in every purchase of Heywood Wakefield furniture; an assurance of the very finest materials and superb craftsmanship.
Heywood-Wakefield Danish Modern furniture is smart and sophisticated in character . . . simple and sensible in design. It is practical and functional furniture that takes full advantage of the American family's informal way of living. The design motif of this charming furniture accents the distinctive grain of the solid, northern Ashwood from which it is fashioned. The Teak and Café Walnut finishes capturing the warm mellowness of all fine Danish furniture in color, tone, and patina. This wood and these finishes - enhanced by matching plastics and enameled steel in some of the designs--lend variety and added function to this fine furniture style of Continental origin. And, in the all-important matter of construction in which Heywood-Wakefield is unexcelled, there is exceptional sturdiness in each of these pieces. It takes genuine craftsmanship to build structural strength into the furniture so slight in scale…so simple in line . . . and so uncluttered in feeling!
