Item Description:
Here is a stunning single Neoclassical table lamp by Paul Hanson Co NYC, circa 1960s. The mix of white glass, dark marble, and brass on this lamp give both a modern and regal feeling. This lamp operates on a 3-way switch. The lampshade is original, however, there was some repair to the shade, it is still useable and signed by the maker but we wanted to point this out in advance. The base of the lamp does have the smallest of grazing on the right front corner that can be seen in our last photo.

The Paul Hanson Co NYC:
The Paul Hanson Lighting Company began in the 1920s and is a collectible today as then. Their appeal lies in the quality of the materials- porcelains, high-quality wood, marble, bronze, and brasses. They were created using molds as well as cast metal in a lost wax process. This process is based on carving a form from wax and burying the wax form in the sand. Then the bronze, or other metal, is then poured into the sand and the wax is burnt away with the metal filling the void left, thus making the casting. It is an expensive process reserved for art pieces.
